So? There are over 30 trillion microseconds in a year. But if you've got even 2 or so between each clock pulse on a JTAG bus, you've got yourself a pretty clunky JTAG bus.
10 minutes is a short span of time in the grand scheme of the universe, but it's a fairly lengthy wait between two small-team games of Halo in a new release with a small number of playlists.

Yes, there are numerous differences. Such as, Nintendo's current first-party game output is widely perceived as better, Nintendo's first-party games generally work correctly at launch, etc.
