Nintendo consistently releases quality first-party titles that don't require patches to fix broken stuff. I have seven first-party Wii U games, and not one of them disappointed, and they all worked like they were supposed to. Of course, the price they pay for that is less than 8 million Wii U units sold in 22 months, making it Nintendo's worst-performing console ever. But that's because they don't have all the big AAA third-party titles (the Wii U's token third-party support doesn't count), and that's what drives console sales these days. I like a lot of third-party games, too, but if I had to pick one system to play every generation, it would always be Nintendo, because they always deliver. I wouldn't still be a customer after 26 years if they didn't.
