I think this is spot on.

Given that the Kinect is the top feature praised by reviewers and sales of the Xbox One have been strong, I really doubt we'll see a Kinect-less Xbox or a price cut anytime soon. The Wii U only saw a price cut in its first year because it stumbled badly. By contrast, the Xbox One has already sold more consoles in the UK in 13 days than the Wii U did in 13 months.

I think the earliest we'll see a price cut is E3 2015, when they might announce a redesigned or disc-free Xbox One.
