Well, it's interesting you bring up Blizzard because they were on the list of developers that I believed could do no wrong, and would forever produce amazing games. But like every other company on that list, all of them have fallen off. At first I was pretty upset because I'd played so many great games from Blizzard, Lucasarts, Maxis, etc and wanted that to continue.

Particularly with Starcraft and Diablo, I've sort of realized that just moving on is better. Nothing I say or do can really bring them back, because they've changed as a company. You can either change with them, or move on and find something else.

For all my criticisms of Bungie, they aren't going back. I can either leave them and move on to better things, or I can get hung up and feel bad.

But see, even in the Halo days I missed the Marathon days, but lots of people here became Bungie fans because of Halo. For them Halo is the good old times.

To answer your last question, I am perfectly comfortable saying something like that to someone, provided I know what I'm talking about.
