Budget.
Drop the full payment in the future, and you can ensure that you'll have enough to pay for it when the date comes - and you'll be earning your interest. There's no reason to give your money away early when it does absolutely no good for you in someone else's hands; other than perhaps a little less 'stress' about having enough of it on the day you want to buy it. It's not like they'll hand you the game and say "Here's your free copy [because you didn't hand us any cash this second]!" ;P
