I could let it all go... at this point, I'm tired enough I could let it go with the old stuff being relegated to unmodified older stuff and some simple acknowledgement of it here and there... except for the new Jackal heads and Grunt feet. Those are not normal variations. Stuff like that would be an obvious and fairly major birth defect if it happened to a human, more so for the Jackals than the Grunts. We would be looking at different species if not genii if they were in naturally occurring animal populations. They shouldn't be included alongside the old versions, they should retconned out of existence. I literally would not care any more about all the other visual and anatomical fuckery they did with alien races and alien gear if they just fixed those two things and didn't repeat those mistakes. (I would still want them to tweak the Forerunner architecture and make human weapons look and sound good/better, but that's kind of a different set of things, and not as high on my list.)
