Actually, I think the Insurrection thing may have happened for real. Events as big as that would have a lot of eyewitnesses and off-planet records so it seems far-fetched that ONI could have fabricated them completely.

Unless the whole thing was an ONI false-flag op, of course. But we've seen what kind of people the innie cause has attracted in the past and they definitely aren't above the described kind of behavior.
