Re: Agreed.
: Video game development needs to be a vastly more transparent process,
: especially when games are so expensive and subscriptions extend the life
: of a game for months down the road at a premium. I don't want news of
: internal strife in a studio coming out only after a game has been released
: and faces controversy for its lackluster content. Publishers and
: developers need to sell their game to us not only for our money and time
: but also for their reputation's sake.
You aren't buying a car or a house here. In my opinion all I need to know about a game is:
1. Genre
2. Developer
3. Platform
4. System Requirements (if applicable)
5. Any features that set it apart from other games in the genre
That's kind of it.
