Who knew Thel 'Vadam would be such a great character until we actually got to know him. Acting talent aside, Jameson Locke was never given a chance as a character to grow with what we saw in Nightfall. Guardians will be his proper introduction into the universe. I'll hold my judgment on any value based on the character such a statue depicts until then. In any case, I'm sure we'll get something visually appealing even if the character is lackluster.

Sure, they and Microsoft have done some shady things, much of which was bound to have pissed off those who think the world of Halo, but nothing that I would throw out offensive language towards or obviously hint towards.
