: You can disagree that a particular change is bad, but accusing detractors of
: not liking change at all does a disservice to them and adds nothing to the
: conversation. Don't do that.
I'm accusing because I see it. I'm talking about the group, versus the individual. There's obviously outliers. It's not just an accusation, it's the reality from my perspective. I feel like I've seen a complaint to literally every change, as minor as it is, that has happened. I read the forums here, on waypoint, and on Neogaf. I don't mean to message that it is a bad thing to do, nor that everyone hates everything, but it can be aggravating when you look at the whole. That aggravation can cause me to be snippy sometimes, so I do apologize for that.
Multiple people complaining about the Arbiter (which is OK to do) really confused me. I thought the reasons were obvious on why he looks the way he looks, and they kept aspects of his past with his armor design. Great job on that. There's at least 1 person who disagrees with any change. That's normal -- a lot of us naturally like things to be what's comforting. I understand that.
Not all change is progress, you're right, though we must also not forget that to progress, you eventually need to change. Halo 2 changed so much, and look at how high we put it on a pedestal. Many people complained then, too.
