: That's the thing, they said the game would use dedicated servers, period. No
: one had reason to think it would be more limited, so we were expecting the
: games to play better than before. I know that was a big early selling
: point for me. It's especially bad for Halo 2 customs because that game had
: a ton of host-dependent bugs and exploits, and it's pretty bad for Halo 3
: because it means BRs will be all over the place depending on who's host
: (and carbines and pistols presumably, and I've seen complaints about
: grifball being affected too). We're not exactly losing anything, but they
: waited until now-- when a lot of people have already bought a console just
: for this-- to tell us this thing they practically outright stated was
: there isn't there. (In fact, I could've sworn they specifically said
: everything would use dedicated servers at some point; does anyone else
: remember that?)
Not sure what was said other than "dedicated servers".
So what about campaign co-op? Is that the next shoe to drop on dedicated servers? Imagine all those lovely dreams we had about smooth co-op campaign action. Will it be that vomit inducing mess we had before (I'm looking ay you HCEA) or will it have dedicated servers? Do you hear the wind whistling around that falling shoe? Unfortunately, I do.
