You may be right. I mean, aside from the fact that you're dead wrong in pretending that Reach was just as "brown" as H4 up above there, I think 343 has struck out pretty hard considering what they released with H1A and H4.
Solution: Release MCC.
That's going to please the vast majority of the Halo community in every way, shape, and form. Co-op, dedicated servers, 1080p, 60FPS, all of the original multiplayer maps, the original three Bungie Halo games. It can't be beat. The H2A bits, though? That goes back to the strike out I mentioned above. H5 (not the Beta) will need to be some sort of gaming perfection I think in order for 343 to get back in the starting line-up after the embarrassing strike-outs.
The crazy thing is, they can actually do it. It is a thing. This absolutely can be done, and it will be interesting to see how. Watch the marketing, because that will be a big sign of what's to come. Nearly a year out from launch and still no H5 gameplay. That's already a bad sign. Terminals being included in H2A to set up H5 even though H1A's Terminals didn't pan out and H4's Terminals fizzled. Past mistakes appear to be repeating. Luckily they have time to get these gears moving and turning.
People like myself are just about done on the new-Halo front. People like Gravemind I'm pretty sure are still fairly positive and ready to buy-in and get playing on day one for H5. This may well be 343's final chance with many Halo fans. Huge opportunity. I hope they can rise to the occasion.
