Uh, they realized it sucked.
Nobody quits out of a game they're winning. Nobody quits out of a competitive game. Nobody quits if they have decent teammates. So what does that mean? That means if the system throws you into an existing game, you're losing, getting completely blown out, and your teammates have never played Halo before. Where the heck is the fun in that?
It seems like every time I go into Halo 4's matchmaking by myself, I always get JIP'd for my first game. And I'd lose. Every. Single. Time. The only chance I had to not get stuck with a JIP is if I partied up with enough people, as there are never games that will do a JIP for 4 people, for example. (I don't even know if JIP is configured to allow something like that.)
Good riddance, I say.
