: Halo Reach is not canon, and THAT'S OKAY.
You're making me feel all nostalgic, Cody. Sonofmacphisto and I were discussing good ol' Reach the other day. Here is one thing I said:
"I rationalized the retcons, by the way, by basically thinking of what we knew before as being the official history. In my mind, Reach finally provided us with the secret true history that was off the books. This fit with my conception of Reach as more grounded and closer to 'real.' Halsey’s Journal still stands as my favorite out-of-game item of the Halo franchise."
