In Response To: Re: Halo Forge Survey (breitzen)

Changing the size of a object like a wall or window would have to keep it's aspect ratio to prevent hitbox clipping issues, etc. Another issue would be the item's textures. After a set size limit, they would have to start tiling to keep tge quality looking good. As for budget, it shouldn't be an issue. Changing a object's size does not change it's poly-count and thus shouldn't effect budget prices.

I've yet to play Far Cry but I do often hear about it's adjustable terrain. Having such a feature would be ideal for sure. Even if it is just for nudging bits around here or there. Forge World was indeed a great map. But looking back, I don't remember a lot of maps making use of it's terrains. Most tended to take place above the ground or water. But I'm sure the terrain was used just as much as it's air space. The biggest complai ts about FW were lack of flat land, items getting lost in the terrain, the size being so big and the pointless kill zones. The problem with it's size, I chock to the maps default spawns being on one end of the map instead of in the center.

Thanks for the feedback.
