Don't think I've tried, eh? Guess what, there aren't four people near me with computers that would like to LAN. There aren't four people near me with computers that know what the hell a LAN is, or even have network cards, or computers powerful enough to run Oni. And I'm on the state's largest college campus.

If you have enough people around you who are skilled with computers, play games on their machines, and have powerful machines, and like to play games over a LAN, that you can get some LAN games going... wonderful for you; I wish I was in your place and so do many others. LAN gaming is a good thing-- I've thought about starting my own LAN arcade here since no one here plays over a LAN. But unfortunately it's still impractical, and if you meet the above requirements then you fall into the minority. It's a good minority, but still a minority. A very small minority.

Those who are in such a position know that such people exist and wonder why Bungie didn't therefore include multiplayer in the game. I wonder if they know how many people wouldn't even be able to use the multplayer. Judging by some of the posts I've read here, I wonder if they even care.
