I know that people often say these problems are just an incentive to use strategy but it always seemed to me that the strategy usually boiled down to, "don't try to splatter Grunts". And where is the fun in that? :-) I prefer it when the strategy/skill is getting your slides right to nail the slippery So and Sos.

Uh, whaaat? 343, you have to nail the ally AI. You don't want people regretting that they have AI companions.

I prefer the original game and ODST mainly because I don't have named AI companions that suck. (ODST have big chunks of solo play and the allies in the campaign 'firefight' sections don't bother me TOO much).

OK, I can live with that. We don't get the idea that are companions are people and realize stuff, which is a pity and rams their unnatural limitations down our throats, but shouldn't impact fighting success by much (maybe).
