"Early in MJOLNIR's development, Dr. Catherine Halsey saw the need for field-portable diagnostic and repair tools. Thirty years of iterative development has integrated more capability while reducing the size of the tools, culminating in the M34 "Jumpstarter". The Jumpstarter remotely links to a MJOLNIR's CPU and supplements the suit's integrated damage assessment system, which itself is often compromised in sustained combat. The Jumpstarter package was later expanded to include first-class tissue repair and biofoam administration tools. In the words of one Spartan III Headhunter, "It'll re-inflate lungs, stop cardiac arrests, pretty much do everything short of raising the dead."

The newest feature is a wireless charging widget that resets and recharges a MJOLNIR shield system with power from another suit. Although hailed as a lifesaver, Spartan operators have asked for further refinement of the system. Many fear that the "Blue Light Special" will give away Spartans' positions when they are unable to move or too occupied to defend themselves."
