Absolutely, having it be solely about training scenarios could get a old and repetitive pretty fast (though it could work too, if written well). As for writing, the first thing they should do is try and convince Nylund to come back as a writer/creative consultant. If not, they should make the writers memorize his books to make sure they get what the Spartans are about.
