I love a lot of the material aimed at younger and teen audiences because it's all so fun and light-hearted.

: presence in the toddler aged boys toys aisles of most stores.

What Halo would be wise to do is to eschew any notion that Halo is only for boys. Interest in Star Wars or Marvel is often regarded as an anomaly in young girls despite their amazing popularity with us. Marvel itself has a strong female fan base that grew up with the comics and exploded with the films and everything since. Halo has some amazing women in leading roles, from kickass super soldiers to amazing scientists, and even aliens who break through patriarchal norms.

Not only should this be taken advantage of in adult content, but it should be definitely highlighted for younger audiences. Marvel is one of only a few big franchises, if any, that has so many remarkable female idols not weighed down by gender roles and expectations. Halo should be sitting right there beside them.
