A little, although it's worth noting that their coolness with modded MP content only extends to situations where you don't interpret "modding" as "screwing people over in matchmade games."

But yeah, you'd think they'd be fine with campaign modding. However, if it actually is the case that campaign theatre was removed as an "artistic" design choice, maybe it's not surprising that they'd be aggressive over it. I'm not saying that that would make it any less insane from an outsider's perspective, but maybe the insanity isn't surprising.
