: I've broken out of a few maps and they use a lot of flat images placed over
: terrain instead of actually modeling out the environment entirely. If a
: camera got outside the boundaries, you would see a lot of corner cutting
: that would make the game look unprofessional and I think they wanted to
: focus their attention on other parts of the game.

And they probably couldn't get the 360 to do the scale of environments they attempted if they didn't take graphical shortcuts that look good in the context of the game, but would look funny in theater. I'd still wanta theater mode regardless. It's a shame not being able to take campaign screenshots.
