: I've broken out of a few maps and they use a lot of flat images placed over
: terrain instead of actually modeling out the environment entirely. If a
: camera got outside the boundaries, you would see a lot of corner cutting
: that would make the game look unprofessional and I think they wanted to
: focus their attention on other parts of the game.

I call b.s. Bungie had that issue, too, and some in the studio didn't want theater mode because of that reason. But ultimately they didn't care what we could see. The benefits of the feature were worth it.
