But I think more interesting than that is where many of us end up feeling comfortable within a universe. Often times this leads us to gravitate towards one character or another, based on their exploration of the story as it relates to our own preferences.
That's why Harry Potter fans tend to associate themselves with Ravenclaw or Griffindor, why Star Trek fans wish they could live on Deep Space 9 and interact with all the various species passing through, and why many Star Wars fans would love to attend a Jedi Academy and learn the ways of the Force.
The question I'm posing to you guys is this:
If the Halo universe were real, and you could live or work there, where would you want to be?
And really think about this. I'll be disappointed if everyone says "the Spartan program" or "ODST".
Personally, I would want to be a part of Infinity Science. Getting to travel to various alien worlds, work around the most advanced tech humanity has to offer, and interact with those Engineers (and maybe any other Covenant that end up onboard). Field studies would be a blast, as well as any work done in the lab. Not to mention the Infinity has so many excellent recreational areas. I'd love to spend an evening in the arboretum, thinking through my latest studies.
Other than that, being a part of the colonization effort on a new planet. Preferably one that requires little terraforming and already has an ecosystem of its own.
Dat flora and fauna. :)
