I'm not saying it wasn't right of him to not lose his job- it'd be crazy if he didn't. This was obviously a nightmare for Microsoft's PR department, and something needed to be done. Am I glad that he lost his job though? No.
The part of me that feels bad for him is the part that says stupid things that I wish I could take back. I feel like he never really realized just how public Twitter is- there's a guy, who wasn't even working on the next Xbox, who had a back and forth with a friend of his in a somewhat joking manner about his opinion on consoles that exploded because someone took notice. I never felt like he was deliberately insulting fans of the Xbox- he's just an idiot. Maybe some people out there feels like this is justice, but I don't- the world isn't black and white like that.
I don't think him losing his job should be celebrated. I wish this situation never happened to this guy. But there's no going back, and he has to live with the consequences.
