Enduring ridicule for not getting a PS2.

Hearing the first monk choir as the game popped in on my new Xbox.

Opening the Flood room door. O_O
Legitimate fear.

Playing solo for so long, while slowly converting friends over the beauty that was Halo. And Xbox.

Of course, the Halo parties. Learning quirks of network types.
Projector screens. Yard parties. Weekends. Tournaments.

Trading my place as most-skilled among my friends to puny grunt when the few who played endlessly blasted past me in skill.

Enjoying that I could easily say "I told you so" to all those naysayers... yet taking the high road :)

I. LOVE. BEES.

The launch into Alternate Reality Gamess, and the potential for extended stories within the Halo universe (spawning ongoing novels, shorts, comics, viral/ARG campaigns, etc).

The rest is history.
(really, the high points from that point on haven't really been able to compare to the high points above; which isn't to say they're not high, but nothing's topped those, yet :)
