Also this galaxy is too small. Frank Kodiak, the lead Spartan, really did not need to have the background he did with N'tho. I just thought that was too ridiculous. Their relationship at this point could have been just the same had Kodiak been a vengeful bigot towards the Sangheili in general instead of someone seeking retribution on an individual. Soldiers do what they have to do. Had the situation been reversed, with a Spartan who faced down a lowly Grunt, they would not be any more merciful than their former opponent.
I do love that they're spending a great amount of time building up the character of two personas we occupied the mind of in Halo 3 yet never really knew. Usze seems like he's tired and N'tho doesn't really fit the mold. It really goes to show that the Great War affected the Sangheili in more ways than just realizing their plight under the San'Shyuum. 343 Industries is really investing in the emotional development of Sangheili personalities and throwing behind the caricature they all pretty much used to be.
