: Well having the peace talks break down would impede stabilizing things,
: wouldn't it? I suspect they had something against Sekibo outside of
: reaching out the Sangheili too. I think they may have engineered the
: attack that was supposed to happen, and if not they may have encouraged
: it, but at the very least they were going to let it happen without
: restriction, and kill two or three birds with one stone-- a lot of the
: Sangheili would be soured on peace talks and maybe peace in general, this
: terrorist human supremacist group loses some members and credibility which
: is good for keeping order, and Sekibo would be out of the way.
I understand why ONI would want to encourage intra-Sangheli fighting to de-stabilise them. But why would they want to break up human-Sangheli peace talks? Are they trying to increase the amount of alien threats and conflicts in the Outer Colonies to shore up UEG reliance and submission?
