: We do not agree.
On that point? Okay...
...where I said I agreed:
: Sometimes, writing around the more overused tropes in a genre results in more
: memorable fiction. Halo stands nothing to lose by adopting storytelling
: limitations that emphasize how freakin' huge space actually is.Oh don't get me wrong, I agree. :P
My other point was an objective comparison between Star Trek's subspace and Halo's slipspace, and that a similar potential mechanism exists in-canon for real-time communication to be explained.
Should that mechanism be used? Do you want that mechanism to be used?
That's a matter of opinion.
: Well, yeah, but there's a sliding scale of how available technology is. How
: much bandwidth is available? Is this homegrown technology, or did we beg,
: borrow, and steal relays off the Covenant?
*shrug*
I'm sure we'll find out soon enough :P
There's also the concept of the Domain still to consider.
