Didn't someone put together a layout of New Mombasa that enable the two games' versions to exist next to each other? (Essentially Halo 2 you approach from the west bank, while ODST essentially all takes place in the southern tip and the eastern side.) Sadly my Google-Fu is weak, I have no idea if it was posted here, or on GAF or elsewhere.

The maps of Mombasa in Halo 2 are definitely wrong, no way around that, but the geography isn't actually as skewed as you might think.

To me, I think it's more helpful to at least have the design addressed, rather than just swept under the rug in a "this is what they look like" manner.
