I wouldn't mind all of the different visual reinterpretations if they were actually any good. The new Spartan designs are still so ugly. The grunts and jackals and elites aren't terrible, but they're all a step down from previous incarnations. Their marines are awful-looking too.

The new Covenant architecture in Truth is pretty ugly and weirdly organic. The Forerunner architecture from 4 was all bland, same-y, and far too shiny and clean.

That new rocket launcher is so bland. The storm rifle was redundant when they could've easily just reused the plasma rifle or plasma repeater, and its profile was also too close to the carbine. For whatever reason, they changed the beam rifle's distinctive pointy shape to something rounder that made it look like the focus rifle.

They can't win because they just aren't good artists.
