I'm going to question your definition of "long time" fan, but I get what you're saying.

Look, if I want a review of something like this, I want to hear it from someone who's fandom is about the same levels as mine.

It's not like I want to totally dismiss the reviews, but my knee-jerk gut feeling tells me that they aren't to be trusted. It's like those times you read a product review and the person gives it a zero or 1 star or 1 egg because they didn't know what they we're doing with it.

I'm not expecting it to be some huge successful juggernaut movie or something- I guess my expectations are more grounded. This whole thing wreaks of click bait to me, just by the way it's worded.
