: last project, Prometheus, was pretty disappointing. And even then, he's
: only producing the show -- it's directed and written by veterans of
: middling-quality television. My expectations are quite low.

If I'm peevish tonight, this is probably why. I deliberately distanced myself from Nightfall so I couldn't be disappointed if it turned out to be a mindless popcorn flick. No expectations, no disappointment, right?

But another brainless, mindless, gutless science fiction show is the last damn thing I need at the moment. And I'd really just ignore it, but Ridley Scott is just this one director who made three great movies and a dozen other sub-average movies that weren't bad enough to ruin his credentials until he went senile. So, I have a hard time not expecting this to be forgettable.

I hope my expectations are wonderfully exceeded.
