All of the talk about Escalation's artwork just got me thinking about what the previous comic series have done. Out of these comics (not including A Fistful of Arrows), which would you say has the artwork that does the best at representing Halo?

- Halo Wars: Genesis
- Uprising
- Helljumper
- Blood Line
- Fall of Reach
- Initiation
- Escalation

Some of the comics suffer from being underdone (Genesis, Escalation), others from looking too sketchy (Fall of Reach, Initiation), coming across as lazy (Escalation, Uprising), and some just have very bland color palettes (Initiation, Escalation). The comic art that I like the most are Helljumper, Blood Line, and The Last Voyage of the Infinite Succor. Blood Line seems to be the most well-rendered Halo comic series- really colorful palette, very faithful to Halo visuals, the new ship design fits with Halo (the sentinels do not though). Helljumper is also really faithful to Halo's visuals, and has an interesting take on the Covenant species. Last Voyage just works so well with the dark tone of the story and the artwork, but it can get muddy at times.

I really hope whatever Dark Horse does next with Halo is much better produced and taken care of than Escalation. They've got some real quality work with some of their other comics.
