But yeah, something tells me that they didn't know what would happen at this point in Escalation's plot until long after the project began, thus little need for connecting the dots was needed. Honestly, at this point, it seems like the only lasting result of this story arc is how John's armor looks so beat.

The few graphic novels I'd read have been solid, standalone products. This serialized format(?) that Halo's comics have mostly followed do not lend themselves well to the universe. They seem to dilute any sense of chaos and fun with action that other mediums can provide effortlessly. With the exception of the Halo Graphic Novel, few examples of Halo comics since the first run have left me with confidence in this medium for Halo.

This wouldn't be a problem, of course, if they'd bring in Levi so he could at least get himself the recognition he deserved so he can buy himself a fancy current-generation console.
