I definitely think they can have both. I agree the knife to Didact's eye suddenly just working wasn't looked at all the way through.

If that moment was way harder than presented, then perhaps it would've been a stronger moment in the comic. Doing something extraordinary to take down/weaken his shields/armor, THEN use some believable method to get his eye injured.

Same scenario for Requiem going into the sun. If we knew months/years in advance that a lot of forerunner shield worlds have this emergency procedure to go into the nearest Sun, then perhaps we'd see that moment as less cheap. Or maybe an alternate method could've been used to get rid of Requiem, if the planet being destroyed was planned years in advance (without deep specifics on how).
