I'm excited for some aspects of the world. Bungie's always had an essence of cosmicism and ancient mystery in all their works, and I will always love that. The universe looks visually stunning, I'm very excited to hear Marty's work... but otherwise, it looks too much like a more serious version of Borderlands. Spread a little too thin in terms of weapons, and a little too dulled out in terms of the variety of encounters. I'm not a huge fan of mythic scifi (I love Star Wars stories and films, but the universe itself drives me bat shit crazy every time I think about it in any depth), and there's just a lot of stuff in Destiny that appears a little too "loose" canonically, I suppose. I need grounding. Scifi always has to have some grounding in reality to keep me sucked into the world and believing in every inch of it, and I haven't totally gotten that feel from Destiny yet.

I suppose to put it much more simply, what I've seen of Destiny looks much too "gamey" for my liking, whereas everything in Halo is grounded in the universe and the story.
