Ghôlsbane's Cycle (Again...) *PIC*

Okay here is an explanation of the cycle which is only backed up by Bungie canon and I think is pretty solid. If you can see something rong with it please let me know.

Here is the explanation for my cycle table without relying on Myth 3: The Wolf Age as canon (except maybe for names when they are unknown anyway and provide a good filler).

Okay the first four blocks are the Trow Era. This follows a similar pattern to the Human Cycle with an aeon/age of peace followed by an age of conflict. Each age is 500 years so two ages make a 1000 year cycle. The younger races appear once every two ages. Then the Callieach are destroyed, and after an aeon of peace, the younger races began to appear and in this next age, the Oghre are enslaved. They remain enslaved for 12 centuries until they revolt. During their enslavement there are two Human Golden Ages, the Axe Age and the age of Reason. Hence the quote from Antero’s Bestiary in Tales from Myth: The Fallen Lords: “We bacame tyrants..even during the periods that your people called their golden ages…”

After the Oghre are enslaved, the humans rise into power with Clovis being the first Hero by founding the Cath Bruig empire in the Axe Age. This lasts for 500 years alongside the Trow Golden Age of building. Then Clovis returns to bring in the Age of Darkness as the Leveller whom I shall call Sorangath only because we do not have the name according to Bungie. He is killed but returns ever more powerful but is finally defeated by Tireces. Each Leveller has two incarnations. This explains the Moagim Reborn scenario and the line from TFL: “Balor has been killed before but it only made him more powerful”. During Sorangath’s party, the Trow possibly suffer a few minor revolts from the Oghre or come into conflict with the Forest Giants but it is unknown.

Then during Tireces Age of Reason, the Trow again have a golden age of building monuments to Nyx maybe this time out of iron. He then returns as Moagim to bring in the Wind Age. Moagim summons the Myrkridia but fails to use thm before he dies. It is only Moagim Reborn who does the most damage. During this Dark Age, the Oghre rebel and are destroyed, then the Trow throw down their iron weapons and are imprisoned by Connacht under Rhi’anon.

Connacht ushers in the light Wolf Age while the Trow are peaceful as they are entombed. But 500 years later, Balor returns with the dark Sword Age. He releases the Trow again but is killed. He returns ever more powerful and destroys Muirthemne and most of the West before Alric kills him. This time the Trow are in conflict with the light humans. The emperor during this time is Ceiscoran.

I decided upon the placement of the emperors as follows. Clovis’ name is remebered as he was the first and a Saviour of the age. The next age’ s emperor is unknown as he is killed and does little. Then Tireces is emperor/Saviour so is remembered. During the Wind Age, MJ invented Leitrim but we are unsure as he was killed and did little. Then we hear of Connacht, the most recent saviour and emperor and in the next age, Ceiscoran rules and we hear of him since he was the last emperor before he was killed. And Alric becomes emperor with the Ibis Crown in Myth 2: SB.

After the Last Battle, the Trow again see the devastation they have caused and make an uneasy peace with the Light. This age is Alric’s as emperor/Saviour but we do not know it’s name but it is and should be a light age. Since Soulblighter tried to force the cycle, the cycle may be broken but “we cannot be sure. At least not for another 960 years”.

There you go, it seems to me to explain everything (differently from MJ). Flame on, I’m confident I can counter your arguments and if I can’t that’s cool and gives us more to talk about.
