Interesting. I've seen it done with helmets, but I thought that the process didn't scale up for mass production. Though Spartan armor is hardly mass produced.

Something that might be quicker or more economical is laser marking. Spray the MJOLNIR suit components with paint, and then use a laser to selectively darken a camouflage pattern. You might also be able to adjust the paints reflectivity and optical properties while you're at it.
