: As for the Insurrection, I think 343 has a golden opportunity to address that
: part of the Halo universe without actually putting human enemies in-game.
: ONI is highly dependent on AIs, right? Well, it stands to reason that
: Cortana's AI uprising will cripple ONI's power and influence
: significantly. They're not going down without a fight, but I suspect that
: a lot of ONI's dirty laundry is about to air out very publicly. That's a
: prime opportunity for Outer Colony interests, including parts of the
: Insurrection, to come in and make demands on the UNSC, with public
: sympathy on their side.

Cortana did talk about ending poverty, hunger, war, and other injustices of that nature. That's ultimately what the Insurrection is about in the end, being free and able to stand on their own, providing services and everything. If the Guardians exist essentially to stand between let's say Earth and Gao or Venezia, the latter two can engage independently without the UNSC breathing down their necks. Maybe the Outer Colonies may indeed welcome the arrival of the Guardians. We see hints of this with the Triad led by Dasc Gevadim who knows a little more than he lets on about the nature of the Guardians and life itself. Perhaps the Triad will encompass those who revere the Guardians into a religious element.
