I can't argue with that. Halo 2 is still probably my favorite campaign based on story alone. It was so compelling.
Halo 5 does a lot of interesting things with the Halo Universe, though. If the Arbiter really managed to break the Covenant, that's a big game changer. Not too mention the Guardians that are now presumably roaming the galaxy.
I also liked that we got to see the tension between the colonies and the UNSC in game, and I can see that becoming more and more relevant as the series continues (although I don't think we'll see a Insurrectionist war in the games; I feel like they'll steer away from shooting other humans in Halo).
I think Halo 5 makes a lot of interesting changes for the Halo universe lore.
