Your (and my) individual purchase of said game is not going to make an impact on their bottom line, which is correct.

I'm in Halo because of campaign.

To my knowledge, you're in Halo because of MP.

As long as I avoid spoilers for a few days, I can simply rent or borrow, complete the story and get my fix. I can try the MP out and see if I like it etc. If I don't, well, then I'm not out $60.

You on the other hand, if you buy it for MP, and it isn't what you want it to be, then you are stuck with something you don't like.

So again, why not wait and rent?
