: I think I understand it pretty well, thanks.

: Let's imagine all players start off on equal footing. Equal skill, equal
: starts, et cetera. Player 1 and player 2 are on different teams, and they
: both reach req level 4. They both have enough energy to use a requisition.
: HOWEVER. Player 1 has bought a bunch of req packs and has some legendary
: weapon available. Player 2 only has the base options because they have not
: bought any req packs or opened anything of use in the comparatively meager
: amount earned by playing arena.

: In this case, player 1 has absolutely paid for an advantage over player 2.

: I think it's pretty hard NOT to see that as pay-to-win.

Comparing Player 1 to player 2 like that is making it sound like the gametype is 1v1. It's not. It's 12v12. And just think, if someone kills player 2, then they get to pick up that Legendary weapon. It doesn't give some incredible advantage. The cards are something along the lines of "Slightly better scope". And once that person dies, they lose that weapon for good. It's single use. The weapon skins are the only things that you get to keep indefinitely. So if someone wants to pay 100 dollars to get a weapon that the might get a kill with in a game where player kills equal 1 point but killing AI equals 25, then go ahead and complain about it.

Let's do something similar. Halo 2 is completely unbalanced. In Halo 2, player 1 meets player 2. Player 1 knows where all the power weapons are because he bought the strategy guide. Player 2 does not know where the power weapons are. So player 1 now has the advantage and therefore the game is pay-to-win.

It's a stupid argument.

If this happened in Arena, then I'd have a problem with it. This is only in Warzone, where kills on other people are basically worthless in a game to 1000 points.

And not only that, but that person that purchased all of those legendary weapons with all that money, they will only be as good as they are with that weapon. And once they lose it, it's gone. You think that someone is going to try to over purchase REQ packs in order to hopefully get a weapon they can use and not die in a stupid way and lose they 2.99 that they spent to get it? It's definitely not something I'm worried about.

Besides, in a 12v12 game, you are unlikely to see that person a lot during the game.
