Hahaha, I just figured it out :D

The sleep was how often the script checked the crystals. I thought it was in miliseconds. Turns out, it's in 'ticks', with Kornman00 saying they are 1/30th of a second. That means the timer checks every 7 minutes, starting when you clear the last area in that first section (the grunts after the hunters).

So I tested it on MCC. I destroyed the 35 crystals as I moved through the level, in no order except for which ones I came across first. Then I just waited after they were all destroyed, for over 7 minutes (I waited about 10 I think), just to make sure the script had checked the crystals, before moving on into the cave.

It worked! You just had to wait 7 freaking minutes and then it works haha. I only got a clip of the end, but now that I know it worked I'll try to do a whole vid at some point, man I'm so happy you have no idea I spent so much time trying to figure out where I was going wrong.
