You just said it, though, didn't you? It's perception. Did anyone think it was way too big or even noticeably too big before this? I mean, they know people will pick these things apart and find whatever corners they cut so on some level it behooves them to be careful and thoughtful about it, but two years is pretty good for not making anyone think things are amiss. What bothers me just as much as this is some small spots on this level-- in the "outside" area-- where there are gaps in the geometry; you can see stars through them. What bothers me more than this is the left wall after you go through the first doorway after riding the elevator up-- look at it from the right place and it becomes a completely different texture with different lighting. One or the other would be bad, but it's ridiculous how different and jarring it is, and the area you have to stand in isn't remotely outside of the playable space, it's the floor of a hallway you have to go through. So no, the fact the level is too big doesn't bother me, the fact the level is put together in a shoddy way bothers me.
