Microsoft said some features will now be disabled. What I don't get is... why not just disable the new features if the console is offline. Lets have a look.
Playing games from the HDD without a disk: So you put in a game and install it, it now registers your account to be able to play that game (a code probably) If you are online, it allows you to play it without a disc, if you are offline, it won't. Sounds like that would work to me.
Accessing your library from any console you're signed in on: Again, you go around a friends, you sign in and download a game that registered to you, you play it on your account while online, as soon as you sign out on that console, the game stops working until you sign back in or your friend buys it.. Problem? I don't think so.
Family Sharing: Again, if you specify an account in your family, how about it will only play if they are signed in????
You see where I'm going with this, it's all possible if you say online only. As soon as you are offline, the Xbox One pretty much turns into a Xbox 360..
I think Microsoft are just saying, "fine, you want it like that? Then fuck you, you get NOTHING ELSE"
