I enjoyed Spartan Ops. The story and the characters within have some really terrible writing throughout, but a lot of the larger plot points and certain characters in particular really shine. Gameplay with friends can be a real treat.
Multiplayer was just really starting to warm up to me now that they've used over 9000 patches and TUs to fix things, but then they went all weapon tuning and movement increase on the situation and showed more bad judgment. But oh well. That's 343 for you.
And campaign. No. I seriously never thought, especially going into the launch of H4 and all my excitement for that campaign, that it would become my least played Halo campaign of any game. Like even less than Halo Wars. That's ridiculous.
: But as a foundation, I think it's pretty strong. Fix some things like the art
: direction, quicktime events, stage gimmicks, and weapon overlap, and I
: think the next one could be a great game easily.
And terrible writing. And extreme linearity. And redundant missions/play spaces/objectives. And a bad guy who isn't a paper tiger. And have real tension and feel like something is actually at stake. And halo4.isnotcanon.net and/or TSD's H4 Blunders page.
