I'm not referring to CC (for the most part). Mostly just MM. CC was just for having fun and fellowship (as you corrected me on ;) ).
But when you get the drop on someone, empty a clip into them (mostly their head), blow a frag next/on them, only to have them turn and empty HALF a clip into you for a kill, then yes, it's luck or a serious issue with MM's settings. Don't tell me it's lag or server issues. Because it happens to me ALL the time in Reach now and I KNOW I have a great connection at my new residents.
I never said I didn't have issues with H4's vehicles. Just that I prefer their handling over Reach's It's the Custom Ordinance Drops that that hurt vehicles. That and the fact they are made of paper as well.
Armor lock in Reach can be simple to deal with by sitting and waiting. But when it also delivers a large EMP when they exit, it's stupid. Otherwise I really wouldn't mind it as much. I like the idea of Armor lock. If they remove the EMP and forced players to wait for it to fully reboot before using it again (like Sprint), then I'd like it.
I never mentioned Halo4's Pistol because I was focused on Reach's stupid TU. H4's pistol is in deed worse then Reach's. It has no range limit!! It also seems to have a better aim and faster kill shot then the BR at times. It does need to be nurfed as well.
I got to thinking about your "balance has actually worked out pretty well throughout the games." statement. If we remove the overpowered Pistol, DMR, and BR, and if they make the overcharge of the Boltshot clear to all players, then yes, I suppose that's true. By making it 'clear' I mean do something so we aren't always surprised when killed by it. I often mistake it's kill for a shotgun. We had this issue with the Mauler in H3. So they cut it's power in half. But it also didn't look like a normal magnum or Plasma Pistol either. Unlike it's H4 counterpart. I Orange glow would be nice since they are clearly not going to reshape it to look more alien.
Do Forced Zoom Quit upon shot need to return? yes. But only if the other weapons (rifles and pistols) don't shoot across map. But I'm still done with Halo Reach. It's far too gone to enjoy (for me).
