It seems like this weapon tuning has turned into some sort of re-launch initiative for Halo 4. They've promoted map packs with live streams, but I don't remember them ever spending thousands of dollars to fly out Halo community members to participate in a live stream for what I would suggest is something that does not convey itself very well via live stream.
I am happy for Tashi to get the chance to get out there, though. So I'm definitely not saying they shouldn't be bringing Halo community members out for this or that relevant task or opportunity. I'm glad they do that, obviously.
I'm just concerned that this won't be the end of the weapon tuning for Halo 4, because 343 is going to complete this entire process in private (except for a few special guests). Which, if that method had worked, we wouldn't be seeing this weapon tuning happening at all. So I agree, I would've liked to see a weapon tuning playlist or at least the game type itself made available.
My other issue is that, because this weapon tuning is done via game type.. oh man. You're going to need to simultaneously replace every single game type in matchmaking, or you're going to have a 4 shot BR here and a 5 shot BR there. Not to mention what this will do to custom games. Basically, June 3rd could be be Halo 4's equivalent of the Halo: Reach TU; the loss of a consistent experience.
