I honestly think you guys haven't been playing against/with the right people. Ever since the CSR implementation, all my matches have been extremely fun and challenging despite people mostly using DMRs or (since I mostly play Snipers) snipers. Because I'm at CSR 30 or something right now, I have to constantly communicate with my teammates regardless of if they can reply, letting them know that X is over at place Y. It adds a whole new dynamic which admittedly I should have been doing before CSR but didn't really have to since I wasn't playing against very good people.

And when my random teammates do reply to my call-outs, we usually end up joking with each other and laughing off deaths while still remaining focused on the game. It's honestly been a blast!

TL;DR Try a different mindset or play-style or find some different people to play with. You might find that you like it, and it might offset your complaints about weapon balance.
